WE CONTINUE TO NEED COMMUNITY SUPPORT
The Moose Jaw and District Sports Hall of Fame (MJDSHF) will be celebrating our fifth anniversary when we hold the 2019 induction ceremony on Saturday, October 19, 2019. The Hall was founded in 2014, after several years of preparation work, to recognize the extraordinary contributions and accomplishments of athletes, builders and teams from Moose Jaw and District. The Wall of Fame is housed in the McCaig Mezzanine of Mosaic Place.
Our previous induction ceremonies have proven to be very successful and truly memorable events. The twenty four individuals and teams we have inducted represent thirteen different sports and include eight builders and two teams. We look forward to being able to continue to recognize worthy Moose Jaw and District athletes, teams and builders. Our recently updated website at has information on all our previous inductees as well as details about the MJDSHF’s background and sponsorship opportunities.
The financial support we have received from local individuals, businesses, and community groups has helped pay for the manufacture of the Hall of Fame display and our annual operating expenses. Our current fundraising goals are focused towards covering our annual operating expenses, the induction ceremony and capital improvement of the MJDSHF display.
We need annual support from the community to ensure the MJDSHF is able to continue into the future. Beyond our induction ceremony ticket sales and a Saskatchewan Sport MAP grant, our revenues depend on $5000 to $6000 of community donations and sponsorship to meet our financial commitments.
Induction ceremony sponsorship categories include: awards, advertising, facility, program, media and talent. If you prefer, a donation towards our general operating expenses can be made through one of the levels of support outlined in our Sponsorship Package: Gold ($1000 or more), Silver ($500 to $999), and Bronze ($100 to $499).
Charitable tax receipts will be issued by the City of Moose Jaw at the end of the year.
